Saturday we had the privilege of shooting our niece Sarah's Wedding. I've joked around with them that this is Dennis & Sarah's Wedding 2. They actually got married 2 years ago and have been saving up for the big wedding/celebration. Saturday was really and Renewal of Vows.
Here is their 1st Wedding.
We started off at Sarah's parent's house. Sarah's mom, Ruth's sister, made Sarah's gown. Gorgeous!
Sarah and her sisters.
Then it was off to Sarah's house to meet up with the other bridesmaids. Sarah the hair stylist doesn't even get a break on her wedding day.
If you live in the Philly area you know that it poured in the morning and a lot of the afternoon. We had plans to shot their reveal, portaits, and the bridal party at
Red Bank Battlefield in National Park. Well by 10am is was very obvious that that wasn't going to happen. So after a few phone calls by Sue, Sarah's sister, the people at
Riverwinds Community Center graciously gave us permission to do them there. Riverwinds is special to Dennis and Sarah anyway because that's where they met in HS as life guards.
We went back to the basketball courts where Dennis would always watch Sarah play. BTW she did make the shot.
Back to the house for pictures with
Sadie, and yes Sadie is wearing a wedding dress that Sharon made.
Off for the ceremony at
Paris Caterers.
Both Sarah's Dad and Granddad are in ministry so they both took part in the service.
A few details then let the party begin.
Look at the determination on her face.
This is my son's shot.
This was Ruth's shot at the end of the night while Dennis and Sarah were waiting for their ride to the hotel. It was so humid out the lens fogged, but it gave it a cool effect.
Thanks to the guys and gals at
Paris Caterers. The food and atmosphere was great. And Keith and Matt from
Dance Party DJs kept everyone going all night.
Sarah's brother-in-law's sister-in-law from
Grove Floral Shop arranged the flowers, great job! Did you get all that?
