Brian & Jen's Wedding - Southern NJ and Philadelphia Wedding & Portrait Photographer

Brian & Jen’s Wedding was, hands down, the most emotional wedding we’ve ever shot. I told them that at points it was hard to look through my viewfinder while wiping away tears. Both Brian and Jen’s dads are both Pastors. What a blessing they both poured onto this young couple.

Brian & Jen love city life and wanted to have that theme in their reception. It was held at a real unique restaurant called Kitchen 233. It was part open-air café, part nightclub. It defiantly suited their personalities. Good choice guys.

I pray that God's blessing will be upon this couple and show them His will for them.

Philippe & Analee's Wedding - Southern NJ and Philadelphia Wedding & Portrait Photographer

This past Friday night, Ruth and I got to shoot another great wedding. The night didn’t go exactly as planned though. It was supposed to be an outside wedding in a little courtyard by the church, but it kind of got rained out. It started gradual so everything could be brought in doors before getting soaked. Around an hour before the ceremony, the decision was made. It still turned out to be a beautiful ceremony.

I love shooting weddings that are filled with tradition and symbolism. Philippe & Analee’s wedding was full of this. Analee had told us before that everything would be explained in the Wedding Bulletin. With all of the craziness of shooting, we forgot to grab one. I’ll have to ask them if they have any left.

It was truly an international wedding. The bride is from Brazil and the groom is from France. I think I heard there were people from four different countries present.

This is a great couple. I know God is going to use them for something special. I pray that God blesses their marriage and their life together.

Micky & Stephanie's Wedding - Southern NJ and Philadelphia Wedding & Portrait Photographer

Have you ever been awaken in the middle of a Sunday afternoon nap and was just a little foggy. That was my first conversation with Micky and Steph. They had been to a Wedding Show and visited the Flower's By Design booth. After some small talk they said they were looking for a photographer. I shot one of Colleen's flower designer's wedding just a few month's earlier so she recommended me. That was at 2:30pm. I think by 4pm I was at there house talking Weddings. Why the rush? Micky is in the Navy and was leaving early the next morning.

This was our first wedding with a groom in uniform, Micky wore his dress blues. Stephanie wore a beautiful 2 piece gown, another first for us.

After the ceremony we drove to a local park for some portraits. We had an unusually long break before the reception so Stephanie ask if we had time for the Art Museum. So off we went. Great idea, we don't normally have that much time. The couple received all kinds of attention and congratulations. At one point we separated from the bridal party and when we came back some tourists were taking their pictures with a duck. It's a long story.

We had a great time with them. We pray a blessing on this new marriage and we ask God bless and protect Micky for his time in the Navy.

Philippe & Analee's Engagement - Southern NJ and Philadelphia Wedding & Portrait Photographer

Here's the second part of our insane weekend last week.

We met Philippe & Analee back in March. They are a great couple that met in college. After Ruth and I talked to them for a little while we realized that we both had common friends in France, Brazil, and the US. Small world! In fact Philippe had been in our second floor apartment when we used to have a duplex.

Analee told us that she would like to have their session done in Bristol, PA. I had never been there before but what a good call on Analee's part. It is a beautiful town, right next to the Delaware River. It was funny, we couldn't keep Philippe out of the trees. Analee, being the good bride-to-be, jumped right up there with him.

I'm excited for Philippe and Analee. God has some good plans for them in their future.
